We worked with Adidas to create the campaign for their new Adidas ZX FW20. The campaign consists of lifestyle and CG assets that show the ZX being the mad scientist of the Originals family. We were tasked with creating worlds and animations that utilised the unique ZX product attributes and we took inspiration from the materials of the Boost and Flux shoe to create the fun and oddly satisfying worlds. Pushing sneakers forward with surprising innovation, unexpected colour, and design and for a generation that traffics in the offbeat, absurd, and viscerally strange.

The brief was to bring out the oddly satisfying feeling of ZX tech. It’s squishing, squeezing and stretching things until they feel just right. It’s pushing color and design to a playful end that’s hard to look away from. It’s experimenting, with the sole objective of satisfying the senses. This campaign reintroduces the ZX to a new generation through the world of “ZXience”, where they can escape logic to study the oddly satisfying experience of the shoe.
